Our Education

Education quality in Indonesia has been increasing by year. It is because the government was set several regulations to increase education quality such as minimum quantity of passed students, higher minimum qualification value and so on.  Some schools which are in towns or cities, the government set them to be National Standard Schools (Sekolah Standar Nasional) even International Standard Schools (Sekolah Standar Internasional). Nowadays, some national or international standard schools are applying bilingual education in their classes especially in superior classes. It is good because there are many advantages in applying that method in prepare student to face up the future. The three of advantages are about the efficiently, the skill that are caused by bilingual education, and the cultural awareness.

Firstly, the students learn English faster and more efficient, because they are using English every day. Students in a class (superior class) that use bilingual education as their method in learning program, are using Bahasa Indonesia as their native and English as their second language in every courses such as mathematics, physics, biology, economics, arts and so on. So they also learn English beside their main course. It is better than only give the students a regular English course.

Secondly, in schools that applying bilingual education as the teaching method, students are prepared to survive in globalization era. English skill become important now because of globalization that compulsory the young generation to compete harder to gain best career, so learning English as soon as possible is a good way to face up globalization. As people know, English is used around the world as main language or global language. Most of jobs also require English as second language.

Thirdly, by using bilingual method in teaching program, students are automatically learned about the culture that include in the language which use as the second language. When the students use English, they also learn American or British culture which is different from their native. For example, in America, it is okay to call elder only by name, that different with our culture, Indonesian culture, it is impolite. By know the second language culture, students can compare with their native culture, and choose which is better and get the culture awareness.

Bilingual education actually offers more advantages than these mentioned above. Many advantages are useful for student future. Bilingual education can make students learn English better and prepared to face up to globalization era. Even get culture awareness. That is why bilingual education so important and should be realized in all schools in Indonesia. 

My Trip To Kampung Naga

On Tuesday (9/5) Me and my friends went to Kampung Naga that located in Garut, for studied Sociology and Economics. We have to be on SMAN 3 Bandung at 06.00.

We went there by a bus. But we just went there at 07.00 AM to Candi Cangkuang first. On the road, the 'tour guide' gave us food to eat.

In Candi Cangkuang we listened to its history and saw a museum too.

After that we went to eat at Racik Desa.

After we ate, we continued our trip to Kampung Naga. It takes about 1 and a half hour to get there. When we arrived we took pictures and met the tour guide of Kampung Naga. But to get to the actual Kampung Naga we must walk through about 439 stairs. after we arrived at village, we gave many information about history of Kampung Naga. we saw scenery of kampung naga, traditional houses in there, and many more. 

in there, i saw the difference between kampung naga and other village.

i felt so happy to visited kampung naga and cangkuang temple, i hope i can visited again.

Going to Museum of Geology

Last Thursday, my classmates and I went to the Museum of Geology. We went there with our geography teacher with the school car. It was intended for students to explore more about the history of the earth, how humans grow over time, and so on. And also for to make external learning.

The museum consists of two floors, after entering the museum do not forget dropped off the luggage near the entrance. On the first floor, will be welcomed by the fossils of ancient elephants, and visitors can start circling from the left.

There are stories of the earth that are shown through pictures and mockups. There is a fossil replica T-rexinosaurus, then the story extinction of the dinosaurs. The story of evolution according to Darwin's theory as well as matters related history from ancient to modern times, can be listened to at the museum.

On the 2nd floor to the left, there is a story about the tsunami and the volcano. On the right, there is a natural rock. There is a miniature tower of oil and gas drilling. And myriad other room with a collection of relevant geological sciences.
For those who want to know more about the benefits and uses of minerals for humans, the museum also provides information. Records of exploration and exploitation of mineral resources can be listened. To be sure, visitors can learn more about natural science in Bandung Geology Museum.

Where Visits in Bandung

In bandung there is a street named Braga Street. In Braga there is many restaurants, bar, cafe, and others. The Buildings are not renovated, its the Dutch architecture so the atmosphere is like we are in ancient centuries. In Braga street was built a mall named Braga Citywalk and hotels named Aston, Fave Hotel, and Genoveruchi. Every sunday will be held Car Free Night. All motorcycle can't enter the street from 6 until 12 at late at night must go there, why? because its the only street that you can nostalgic the old time.

People take pictures in Braga Street's building because people in Bandung loves to take a photo in unique and autenthic buildings. And the food  recipe is not change. The most famous restaurant is Braga Permai because it has been there since the Dutch colonialism. 

Many Tourists has come to Braga Street because if youre not visit the Braga Street then you are not visiting Bandung.

Dufan Trip

On Monday,26th October morning me and all the social class gathering at 3 Senior High School We are going to have a trip to dufan, jakarta. We went by bus. I sat with Gatra,Shafara,Fayra and Aurel at the backseat. On The way to Dufan the bus stopped at the rest area one time. During the trip, we're look so happy. We sang, we told stories and some riddles, and many more.


We arrived the weather was hot but we still had spirit to try all of the rides. First, me, Gatra, Shafara, Fayra, Aurel, Seno, Khairi, and Habib rode Hysteria. It was so scary and thrilling. The next one, we rode Kora-kora. I love kora-kora because it feels like we're on a boat on a stormy seas. After playing kora-kora, we chose to try ontang-anting. Ontang-anting is like a giant swings that's always spinnig. Because it is always spinning, we feel dizzy. It was scary because it feels like we're flying. After that we tried a ride that always exist in every theme park in the world, roller coaster. The roller coaster in Dufan named halilintar. We felt a little bit nauseous because it  spins 360 degrees. Then, we went to my favourite ride,  pontang-panting. I think it's extremely fun but, my friend didn't like it because after playing pointing-panting she felt dizzy and nauseous. After playing pontang-panting, we rode some other rides. And the last one is Ice Age. It is new at Dufan and it's also fun. So it's like riding a boat in north pole  and it's cold but when we got to the Mesozoikum area, it got warmer.The most exciting part is when the boat went down the stream really fast and we got wet.

Then after this happy day, we had to go home. We gathered in front of the carousele and the teachers checked the student's presence. After it is complete, we got on the bus and went home to Bandung. It was an exciting and also tiring day

My New Friend

Hii! My name is Tiara Pradita Oktapiani and i'm going to tell you about my new friend.
Her name is Shafara Agnia, she is my new class mate. She is from 18 junior high school. Her birthday is on june 25th. She has short black hair and she wear glasses. In a free time of lessons shafara and i used to go to "Kopgur"(canteen in my school) and bought foods and drinks. The unique side of her is her laugh. Her voice sounds funny everytime she laughs.

Shafara joined the extracurriculer Softbal, because she is good playing it. Ok that's all thank you!
